Once students enroll, they are expected to continue through the school and complete payment in full. However, YWAM Puerto Viejo will reimburse a student's theoretical phase for the following reasons:

The student voluntarily withdraws from the school.

Student is asked to leave due to violation of the code of conduct; or is unwilling to meet the academic and spiritual standards of the school.

The early withdrawal of a student could be for different reasons, which in turn will be discussed with the school leader and the base director.

CRUSADE PHASE

The cost of the crusade is NOT refundable once it has begun. However, unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or emergencies, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Release of Liability

I release Youth With A Mission, its agents, employees, and volunteers from any liability arising from any injury, damage, or loss that may be sustained by said person during the course of participation with Youth With A Mission. In accordance with biblical principles, I agree to resolve all disputes with Youth With A Mission, YWAM Leader, or staff through conciliation or mediation and waive any right to pursue litigation. *

Declaration and consent for burial

We at YWAM Puerto Viejo Costa Rica encourage every YWAM staff, prospective student and volunteer to seriously consider some of the possible consequences of mission work and training. Although the death of someone is extremely rare in service with Youth With A Mission International, it is nonetheless an experience that awaits each of us over time. It is important for everyone to prepare for such possibilities and have a clear plan of action if such cases arise during our study or service time with Youth With A Mission. YWAM International strongly encourages burial in the field, as decomposition of the body can start very quickly and the transport of the body from the place abroad can be very expensive. In order to be shipped, some laws require a special coffin and the coffin must be accompanied by someone on the return journey. We strive to maintain a Christian view of a person's death, death is not the final step, but only one step; the person is not in the coffin, this is just the earthly shell of him. Therefore, the priority of limited resources during the crusade must be for life. In the event of death, YWAM Puerto Viejo cannot commit to cover the cost of transporting the body to another country for burial purposes, or ultimately instance cover burial expenses in the country of death. If the family wishes to see the body transported back home, the family must bear the cost. I agree that, in the event of my death, Youth With A Mission Puerto Viejo can carry out the burial of the body at the location of the deceased person. If my family wants to send my body home, my family is willing to pay any price. I hereby absolve Youth With A Mission Puerto Viejo, all its staff and associates from burial expenses. *
